From September 11 to 12, 2024, the working group meeting of ISO/TC22/SC32/WG06 (ISO/TC22/SC32/WG06, Working Group on On-board Electrical Connections of the Subcommittee on Electrical and Electronic Components and General Systems of the Technical Committee on Road Vehicles of the International Organization for Standardization) was successfully held in Shenzhen, China in a combination of online and offline forms.
The meeting was chaired by Stephan Krähnert, the secretary-general of the working group. More than 10 ISO registered experts from Germany, Sweden, Japan, Romania and China attended the meeting, and more than 30 experts from domestic vehicle manufacturers and parts suppliers attended as observers. Guo Miao, assistant to the president of China Automotive Standardization Research Institute of China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and delivered a speech. This meeting was hosted by Tianhai Group and Cvilux Co., Ltd., which are member units of the high-speed connector working group under the Electrical Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee on Automotive Standardization.
This meeting reported on the development of on-board Ethernet connection components, high-speed high-frequency connectors and high-voltage connectors of ISO TC22/SC32/WG06. The technical contents of relevant standards such as ISO 21111-8 "Road vehicles - On-board Ethernet - Part 8: 100 Mbit/s electrical Ethernet transmission medium, components and tests" and ISO 20860-1 "Road vehicles - 50Ω impedance radio frequency connection system interface - Part 1: Dimensions and electrical requirements" were deeply discussed and the next work plan was formulated.
The meeting focused on discussing the situation of interface submissions from various countries for ISO 8092-6 "Road vehicles - Connections for on-board electrical wiring harnesses - Part 6: On-board Ethernet, general performance requirements and interface definitions", and unanimously agreed to add the interface submitted by China to the draft of ISO 8092-6.
